After researchers have earned their doctorate, Heidelberg University supports them in their personal professional development.
Since 2021, heiTRACKS has been the platform for programs to further the careers of researchers with doctorates. It focuses on advice, gaining further qualifications, and networking. That allows them to take well-founded decisions as stepping-stones towards their individual careers and also to acquire transdisciplinary skills.

CareerPlus on salary negotiations in April
CareerPlus - heiTRACKS’ online series on professional development within and outside academia—kicks off on April 28 with its first session of 2026. Join us and learn how to approach salary negotiations strategically. The session will cover salary issues in both the public sector and the private sector. The event will be held in English. The new round of the heiTRACKS mentoring program will start in October.
