30 Years HAI
23 to 26 July 2026 – Heidelberg University invites all HAI members and their families as well as members of the Gesellschaft der Freunde e.V. (GdF) to celebrate “30 Years HAI” in Heidelberg. In the summer atmosphere of Heidelberg, you can relive memories of your student days and at the same time rediscover your alma mater as a modern and forward-looking university.
A Message from the Rector
Dear alumni and friends of our university,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Heidelberg for the 30th anniversary of HAI. For many of you, our university represents a formative and unforgettable time. Take advantage of your visit here to relive those memories and gain new insights at the same time.
During a guided tour of the recently opened lecture hall and learning center audiMAX — the new architectural hub of Neuenheimer Feld — you can, for example, see how Ruperto Carola has evolved in recent years. Over the next four days, a diverse anniversary program awaits you, featuring topics related to the university and the city, from which you can choose according to your interests.
“Heidelberg University – the place to be”: This motto applies not only to our summer weekend of encounters, conversations, and festive moments, but also points to the future of our university: For, following the announcement by the German Science Council, Ruperto Carola will continue to be a university of excellence with international appeal!
