Career entry, career counselling, competence enhancement, career support: Master the entry into professional life with HAI and remain successful afterwards as well
In cooperation with other departments at Heidelberg University and committed alumnae and alumni, HAI already offers numerous career opportunities for interested parties. Support the expansion of the offers for students and alumni of your university and invest in the future of individuals and the alumni family.
Nowadays, students and young graduates are often at a loss as to how to make a successful start to their professional lives in view of the labour market, which is not easy to survey. Questions such as “Which industries are open to me with my subject/graduate degree, which job-related skills do I still need to acquire, how do I apply properly and, above all, who can help me?” arise and cause fears. Together with the Career Service and alumnae and alumni who have already started their careers, HAI provides information on a wide range of topics online, in discussions, at events and through Mentoring. We point out occupational fields and perspectives, arrange contacts to companies and suitable interviewees, provide advice and encourage students to take the next independent steps. Competence-enhancing workshops and further training complement the growing range of offers. Instruments and activities such as events, meetings, speakers and catering incur costs that cannot all be covered by fees or the budget.
