Knowledge Transfer Potential Impact

Is my research suitable for knowledge transfer activities? Which findings from my research would I like to communicate to which social target groups? How can I involve the general public or specific subgroups in my research or enable them to participate? 

These and other questions are addressed in individual consultations and workshops offered regularly by hei_INNOVATION. The individual consultations are based, among other things, on the Transfer Alliance's “Transfer Canvas.” The “Bridging the Gap Workshop” is offered quarterly and can also be designed specifically for certain research groups. In addition, hei_INNOVATION offers “Design Thinking Workshops” to develop ideas. The following guiding questions help to structure initial ideas for a possible transfer activity:

In which areas does your research have the potential to have a social impact?
Identify the social issues or challenges that your research can help to solve.

What is the core idea of your research project or research findings?
Formulate the central ideas or messages that you would like to convey as part of your transfer activity.

What added value do you want to generate with your transfer project?
How will your target groups benefit from your research? What overarching social issues are you addressing? Please also take current developments, events, and debates into account.

Result

You have identified a project or specific findings from your research that should be the focus of the transfer activity. The planned activity is tailored to the needs of the respective target group(s) and, where appropriate, also addresses a previously defined societal challenge.
