PROCEDURE: INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS WITH A GERMAN UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE QUALIFICATION

About the Procedure

For degree programmes without admission restrictions and without entrance examinations, prospective international students with a German university entrance qualification (Bildungsinländer*innen) can enrol within the enrolment period - provided that the formal requirements are met. A prior application in due form and time is required.

The University allocates places according to the conditions set out in the State Law on Higher Education in Baden-Wuerttemberg (Landeshochschulgesetz Baden-Württemberg) and the Admission and Immatriculation Regulations of Heidelberg University. It is possible to enrol in a degree programme without admission restrictions or entrance examination if all formal admission requirements are fulfilled. Information on enrolment in degree programmes without admission restrictions and entrance examination that nonetheless specify additional conditions can be found in the respective selection regulations/admission regulations or study and examination regulations.

ADMISSION AND COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for any degree programme (Bachelor degree or state examination) at Heidelberg University must hold a university entrance qualification and have very good German language skills. Additional qualifications may be required for certain subjects. Further information on the requirements in the respective courses can be found in the subject’s respective selection and admission regulations.
