CallsDigital Humanities
Preliminary remark: The funds of the University of Excellence are earmarked, they serve the strategic further development of the university in the field of top-level research and may only be used for the purpose of profile building of the Field of Focus 3 or Heidelberg University, internal and external networking, promotion of young researchers, and transfer.
Funding is available for collaborative projects that address interdisciplinary issues primarily, but not exclusively, from the priority areas of Digital Heritage and Digital Linguistics. It is also possible to submit interdisciplinary and innovative project proposals with a focus on the topic of 'digitality' beyond the focus areas. The project proposals can be about the use and further development of central scientific tools, the use of semantic technologies or visualization technologies and their implementation as well as about the answering of content-focused theses, where the use of tools is not the core of the project.
The central prerequisite for all proposals is the reusability of the results, the interdisciplinarity of the project proposals, and their recognizable contribution to the further development of the Digital Humanities at Heidelberg University. These can be smaller and focused collaborative projects that can be brought to a conclusion with the application amount or larger planned projects that prepare a major application.
Type of funding: Funding for materials and personnel (support staff) can be applied for. Funding for basic equipment-related items is possible (this applies to workstation equipment, consumables, software, etc.).
