During the free-of-charge, four-week program participants learn how to develop their idea using new, creative methods and transform it into a viable, scalable business model. They will also be prepared to pitch this model to investors. They are supported by the hei_INNOVATION team and coaches and mentors from the world of entrepreneurship.

So what happens at STARTUP LAB 2024?

In principle, business ideas at any stage can be further developed in the LAB. The ideas do not have to be fully developed yet; an initial concept is sufficient to participate in the program. We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic students, scientists or alumni who would also like to get involved outside the lecture hall. More established teams and startups are also welcome to apply if they would like to continue working on their ideas in the LAB and would like to get more input, mentoring and support from startup experts.

For this year's STARTUP LAB, hei_INNOVATION has once again invited a number of experts to share their knowledge and experience with the participants. In workshops or input sessions, they will cover topics such as the implementation of social entrepreneurship and responsible ownership, legal basics for startups and different forms of business, how to set up a financial plan and calculate the optimal price, how to conduct successful sales negotiations and sell products, pitching and developing marketing strategies.

The application deadline is February 7, 2024.

Applications can be submitted from all disciplines and without prior knowledge of business administration.
