As part of IMPACT DAY 2024, which will be held at Heidelberg University on May 15, 2024, numerous workshops on the topic of innovation and transfer will take place at the New University from 1 to 5 pm. Registration is now open to all interested parties. The topics range from design thinking, podcasting, science communication and social entrepreneurship to patent protection.
hei_INNOVATION is organizing the day for all members of Heidelberg University to show how interesting, versatile, exciting and fascinating knowledge and technology transfer can be - from the latest inventions to social innovations. The following workshops will be offered:
- Funding Opportunities for Academic Transfer/Start-up Projects (EN) with Amina Daca (hei_INNOVATION)
- How to protect your Intellectual Property (EN) with Natalie Watzke und Maria Carola Colombo (SVH)
- Social Entrepreneurship: How to turn your studies into Impact (EN) with Michael Wunsch (Mitgründer SEND)
- How to Start a Podcast (DE) with Daniela Musial-Lemberg und Frank Stockmann Gründerschmiede (KIT)
- Wissenschaftskommunikation (DE) with Adriana Lopez (Kommunikation und Marketing)
- Design Thinking Express (EN) with Henning Mühlen und Johannes Hefft (SAP)
- Warum nicht die Welt retten? – Das Impactpotential von Forschungsprojekten erkennen und nutzen (DE) with Christoph Köller und Dr. Johanna Schwarz Görgen & Köller (GmbH/ hei_INNOVATION)
- „Show and Tell!” Möglichkeiten und Anforderungen forschungsbasierter Ausstellungen (DE) with Prof. Dr. Henry Keazor (Institut für Europäische Kunstgeschichte)
Registration is already possible on the IMPACT DAY website. Detailed information on all formats can also be found there. Most of the workshops will take place at the New University. The only exception is the DESIGN THINKING EXPRESS workshop, which will be held at the Central University Administration.
The workshops will be held in English or German, depending on the language of the title. It is recommended that you register in advance, as there are only a limited number of places available for all workshops. There will be a waiting list for the workshops on IMPACT DAY itself. If registered participants do not show up ten minutes before the start of the workshops, their places will be allocated to people on the waiting list.
In addition to the workshops, IMPACT DAY 2024 offers other program items such as the transfer islands with interesting and innovative projects from Heidelberg University, the final of the hei_INNOVATION ideas competition 2024 and an interview with the entrepreneur, author and investor Tijen Onaran and the Vice-Rector for Innovation and Transfer Prof. Dr. Katja Patzel-Mattern. Food trucks will be providing IMPACT DAY visitors with culinary delights on University Square from 12 noon.
