Members of Heidelberg University can now submit their applications for the hei_INNOVATION ideas competition 2024. The competition offers a platform for the presentation and further development of innovative ideas and research results with potential for commercialisation or change. Each idea submitted will be evaluated by hei_INNOVATION and a panel of renowned experts from business, culture and research for its potential impact. The best ideas will be presented at Heidelberg University's IMPACT DAY 2024 and awarded prize money.
Participants in the ideas competition have the chance to win prize money of up to €5,000. Each team will also receive feedback on their idea from the transfer agency hei_INNOVATION and an external jury. There is also the opportunity to seek advice from the hei_INNOVATION team in order to further develop your own idea. As part of IMPACT DAY 2024, the finalists will present their idea to a broad audience, for which hei_INNOVATION will offer professional pitch training in advance.
Applications can be submitted via a portal from now until 10 March 2024. Students, academics and employees of Heidelberg University, including the medical faculties and university hospital, can take part. Ideas can be submitted by individuals or teams.
In addition, anyone interested who still needs support in developing the idea can take part in idea development workshops. Possible dates are 6 December 2023 from 12 - 3 pm and 13 February 2024 from 10 am - 1 pm. Both workshops will take place at the hei_INNOVATION HUB.
