Heidelberg Campus Online

Heidelberg University has introduced the campus management system "heiCO" - Heidelberg Campus Online. This unites all processes of the "student life cycle" from application and admission to degree programmes to course management, exam administration and graduation in one web-based system. On 1 August 2024, heiCO went into regular operation.

In its day-to-day work, the heiCO team plays a moderating and coordinating role between the various stakeholders at Heidelberg University (central institutions, departments/faculties, URZ, external institutions and bodies, etc.). This creates the conditions for advancing topics and processes of overarching and common interest (e.g. simplifying admission/examination regulations, merging and creating synergies between various digital administrative systems, expanding international mobility and digital administrative exchange, etc.) from the position of the central data management system, driving developments in the area of studies and teaching and harmonising heterogeneous processes and documents.
