CENTRAL CONTACTS AND SUPPORT OFFERS

In addition to support by academic advisors and contacts from the respective degree programme, part-time students may also use the offers of the Central Student Advisory Office/Career Service.

This includes individual consultations, learning coaching, and workshops from the “Fit to Study” course programme.

Individual advisory service in personal discussion

If you have any questions regarding your (part-time) course of studies, please contact Dr. Carina Tuchan in the Central Student Advisory Office.

Learning coaching for re-entrants

It may be difficult to meet the requirements of a course of studies confidently and calmly in particular after taking a leave of absence from your course of studies, when returning after interrupting your studies, or if there has been a bit of a gap between finishing school and taking up your studies. Learning coaching is to make it easier for you to return to learning, while helping effectively manage the intended learning volume. The focus is on expansion of learning strategies and self-organisation as well as strengthening of performance motivations.

On the progress and content: Initial interview to determine the status quo and analyse the learning situation; second interview with special fields of learning techniques, strategies to prepare for examinations and, depending on the participant’s questions, help with planning or handling learning or motivation issues. Final interview to evaluate and reflect on the learning techniques used.

Duration:  3 x approx. 60 minutes
