German Citizens Master of Education: the Supplementary Teaching Programme
Application for the supplementary teaching programme of the Master of Education (M. Ed.) is subject to general and specific admission and access requirements. Applications can be submittet for the summer or winter semester.
There are two options for studying a supplemetary subject in the Master of Education (M. Ed.) – depending on department: a scope of 120 credit points or a scope of 90 credit points. Teaching qualification for the upper level of the Gymnasium secondary school (gymnasiale Oberstufe) requires completion of the version with 120 credit points – unless the subject may be offered in a 90-credit-point version based on the specifications of the ministry of education.
For the certificate variant, 105 (instead of 120) LP or 75 (instead of 90) LP must be completed.
