Heidelberg | Harvard Partnership
Within the framework of the institutional partnership between Heidelberg University and Harvard University, a new funding program for the structured development of joint research and collaboration projects will be launched starting in 2026. The program comprises two complementary funding lines: the Heidelberg | Harvard Strategic Partnership Grant, which supports the establishment of long-term institutional collaborations, and the Heidelberg | Harvard Explorer Seed Fund, which is designed to initiate new thematic cooperation. Both funding lines are open to faculties, institutes, and central academic units of Heidelberg University and are supported through the State of Baden-Württemberg’s Global Partnerships in Science program.

Centres Abroad
Foreign branch offices increase Heidelberg University’s international visibility. The Ruperto Carola branch offices fulfil the function of scientific hubs for regional studies, are service centres for all university facilities and open the way for foreign graduates to Heidelberg.
