Dr Uwe Schroeder-Wildberg has been chair of the executive board of MLP SE (MLP AG until 21 September 2017) since 2004. 

Starting out with a commercial qualification, he earned a doctorate and sat on the executive board of the Cortalconsors Group in Paris. From 1999 to 2002 Uwe Schroeder-Wildberg worked for the company Consors Discount Broker AG in Nuremberg, also serving on the executive board. His professional career began in 1994 in the Treasury division of Südzucker AG. 

After vocational training in a bank, he gained a first degree in business studies at the University of Mannheim and then worked at the professorial chair for banking and the stock market as academic staff. In 1992, with Prof. Dr. W. Gerke, his doctoral supervisor and holder of the professorial chair, he transferred to the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.

Dr Schroeder-Wildberg has belonged to the Heidelberg University Council since October 2023.
