Saori Dubourg has been a member of the BASF SE Board of Executive Directors since May 2017. She is responsible for crop protection, construction chemicals and bioscience research, as well as for the Europe region. Saori Dubourg has worked for BASF in different functions since 1996, including several years in the USA, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong. Dubourg’s professional experience covers both strategy and operations, e.g. in dispersion, monomers and superabsorbers, nutrition and care chemicals. In addition, she has served as senior vice-president for global HR executive management and development at BASF and president with responsibility for all companies and functional units in the Asia-Pacific region. From 2013 to May 2017 Dubourg was president of the segment nutrition and health.
Since 2012 Dubourg has been a member of BASF’s Corporate Sustainability Board, which aims to implement the BASF sustainability goals. With its Responsible Care strategy, BASF has taken a leading position in Asia-Pacific and proved that sustainability creates economic value.
Saori Dubourg and her family live in Heidelberg. She is interested in the future of corporate management, current business issues and modern art.
She has been a member of the Heidelberg University Council since 2018.
