Scholarship holders attend science slam at Karlstorbahnhof

On 29 February 2024, scholarship holders of all three years of the Hans-Peter Wild Talent Scholarships came together to attend the first Heidelberg Science Slam this year at the new Karlstorbahnhof. The event had already been sold out for quite some time, so everyone was looking forward to an evening of exciting slam contributions. Four researchers from different fields - from AI and green hydrogen to the production of a more sustainable plastic product - competed against each other by explaining their field of research in 10-minute-talks. They not only made the audience laugh, but also provided one or two aha moments. Presenter Rainer Holl, a slam poet, hosted the event and presented Moritz Bross with golden boxing gloves as a trophy for his talk on the plastic alternative entitled "Intelligent wie ein Kuhbrot“ (Intelligent like a cow's bread). After the end of the event, all the scholarship holders met once again to review the evening.
