Research Alumni Meeting in New York, U.S. – 6 to 8 September 2024
We would like to invite you to the second Research Alumni Meeting in the U.S.: On the occasion of the visit of the new university rector, Prof. Dr Frauke Melchior in New York, the event will take place as part of this year's HAUS National Meeting 6 to 8 September 2024. We look forward to an exciting exchange with you, representatives of Heidelberg University and local partner institutions. Save the date already now. Contributions from the network
In this issue, Italian legal scholar Dr Elena Pezzato Heck presents her research in the field of historical jurisprudence. Pezzato Heck, a research assistant at the Chair of Roman Law and the Law of Antiquity at the University of Bologna, was last a guest of Prof. Dr Christian Baldus at the Institute for History of Law in summer 2023 thanks to the HAIreconnect program.
In addition, the Italian neuroscientist Dr Maria Luisa Malosio remembers her late colleague Dr Peter Prior and his scientific contributions. Malosio, currently Senior Researcher at the Istituto di Neuroscienze, National Research Council of Italy, got to know and appreciate Prior during her doctorate at the Center for Molecular Biology at Heidelberg University (ZMBH). Peter Prior worked at the ZMBH as a diploma student, later as a doctoral student and post-doc and finally as head of the teaching laboratory.
