The hei_INNOVATION Startup Hub at Heidelberg University offers 630 m² of modern workspaces, co-working spaces and an inspiring lounge area for university-related start-up teams. Start-ups, spin-offs and young companies from the university environment - including the medical faculties - will find a professional and creative environment for entrepreneurial thinking and growth in around 55 workspaces.

Vision and goal
Our vision is to unite science, technology and entrepreneurship and to sustainably increase the number of start-ups from Heidelberg University. We create a space that promotes innovation and exchange and thus strengthens start-up activities in the long term.
We want to offer a low-threshold and supportive environment in which founders can develop and successfully implement their ideas. Through targeted support, we help start-ups to grow faster and become more successful, and promote the exchange between science and business.

Workplaces:
- 12 offices with a total of 43 workstations
- Co-working area with 12 individual workstations
- A total of 55 workstations
Rent prices:
- Workplace in an office: 390 EUR/month (plus VAT)
- Office workstation in a co-working space: EUR 290/month (plus VAT)
- Daily rate for co-working space: EUR 19/day (plus VAT)
Start-ups receive a discount of 50% in the first year and 25% in the second year in accordance with Section §2 (6) of the State Higher Education Act (funding for the purpose of technology transfer).
TechLäb4U - technology lab for start-ups:
- Clank room: 3D printer, laser cutter, laser scanner, electronics workbench, robotics kits, computer corner
- Brain room: design thinking, ideation, interaction
- Wow room: VR corner, podcast corner, showroom
