Core Facility PlatformCellnetworks Core Technology Platform (CCTP)

The CellNetworks Core Technology Platform (CCTP) serves as an umbrella organization for Core Facilities. The name is derived from the former Cluster of Excellence CellNetworks, which played a significant role in developing the Core Facility infrastructure of the Heidelberg Life Sciences Campus.

CCTP-associated Core Facilities must fulfill certain requirements, such as easy access for members of all university and extra-university members of the Field of Focus 1 as well as transparent terms of use.

Additional Facilities, Technology Networks & Large Equipment

Advanced Biological Screening Facility (ABSF)

The screening facility offers assay development, automated sample preparation and high-throughput solid phase transfection with siRNAs high-throughput microscopy, and automated data validation.

Biomechanics Core Facility

The Biomechanics Core Facility provides standardized and reproducible mechanical characterization of soft (bio) materials, as well as specific sample preparation methods required for the characterization.

Core Facility Platform Mannheim Campus

The Core Facility Platform Mannheim, CFPM, consists of seven Core Facilities covering diverse areas and creating a Core Facility Pipeline, which operates research requests from basic analysis to imaging, microscopy, cell sorting and up to data analysis.

Center for Model System and Comparative Pathology (CMCP)

The CMCP combines histotechnical, histoanalytical, and pathological expertise in both fields, human and veterinary pathology. It provides support in project planning, technical support and expertise evaluation.

HDcryoNet

The Heidelberg University cryo-electron-mikroscopy-network (HDcryoNet) hosts cryo-EM infrastructure located at the BioQuant and at the Biochemistry Center.

Infectious Diseases Imaging Platform (IDIP)

The Infectious Diseases Imaging Platform (IDIP) provides, develops and applies high-end microscopy infrastructure under conditions of enhanced biosafety containment 2 and 3 (BSL-2 and 3) to enable infectious diseases research.

IZN FACS Facility

The facility at the IZN-Neurobiology Department provides access to flow cytometry-based applications and a unique service on the campus for the sorting of rare neural cell populations and subcellular components.

Heidelberg Lipidomics

Heidelberg Lipidomics offers qualitative and quantitative lipidomics analyses.

Scientific Facility for Microfabrication and Microfluidics

Microfluidics is an emerging field and is finding use in various disciplines. At the Scientific Facility for Microfabrication and Microfluidics we aim to provide this valuable tool to every interested research group in and around the Neuenheimer Feld.

MINFLUX Nanoscope

The newly installed MINFLUX nanoscope offers super-resolution microscopy with a resolution up to 2 nm in 3D.

Scientific Software Center

The SSC aims to aid researchers in all aspects related to software development, including resources such as guidelines, project templates and development projects. The SSC aims to ensure reproducible science and software sustainability across disciplines.
