hei_INNOVATIONCalls for Applications GamesHub

18. January 2022

In the GamesHub Heidelberg for Health/Life Science, game developers work together with interdisciplinary experts to develop serious games and gamified applications for the health sector. Serious games are games and applications for the simulation of processes, for prevention, therapy, rehabilitation, as well as for training and further education. They are playing an increasingly important role in all areas - and especially in the health sector.

For GamesHub 2022 we are looking for:

  • Interested game developers and/or interdisciplinary teams to develop needs-based solutions for practical use in the field of health/life science. The teams in this cross-innovation hub, which is unique in Germany, receive workplaces and the technology required for project development, as well as a customised workshop and coaching programme. They are individually supported by a project coordinator during the project period and receive performance-related funding of up to 10,000 euros.
  • Challenges from the health/lifescience sector. Do you have a challenge as a doctor, head of nursing or scientist that could possibly be solved with a serious game or gamification elements? Then contact the Games Hub, which will pass the challenge on to the interdisciplinary teams. Together, practical solutions and concrete applications/prototypes will be developed.

The GamesHub Heidelberg was initiated by the Medien- und Filmgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg (MFG). In addition to Heidelberg University, represented by hei_INNOVATION, project partners include the City of Heidelberg, Heidelberg Startup Partners and Life Science Accelerator BW.

The deadline for applications is January 31, 2022. More information about the GamesHub, the call for applications and the application process can be found online at the link.
