In the “News from the Network” section, research alumni present exciting, interesting or unusual projects that they have carried out in collaboration with colleagues from Heidelberg. Researchers abroad with a Heidelberg background can also report on their scientific contributions in the RAN newsletter

In this issue, Dr Aymen Mohamed Elsous, an expert in health policy, presents a study on breast cancer survivors which explores ways to better support patients during treatment. Physician Dr Shabnam Fayezi reports on her work in the field of reproductive medicine, and philosopher Dr Tianyu Shi looks back on the creation of his dissertation, “Being and Legislation: A Phenomenological-Aesthetic Interpretation of Kant's Critique of Judgment,” as part of the philosophy seminar in Heidelberg. German studies scholar Prof. Dr Dr Sotera Maria Fornaro also recalls her time in Heidelberg and her numerous research stays at Ruperto Carola. Finally, lawyer Assoc. Prof. Dr Melda Taşkin reports on her doctoral thesis, which she wrote at the Institute for Foreign and International Private and Business Law at Heidelberg University.
