Students will obtain the skills and knowledge necessary both for the professional design of educational and learning processes as well as for the development of parameters for learning and education processes within society or in institutions and organisations. During the course of studies, the methodological and research-theoretical fundamentals of empirical Education Studies will be established.
Following completion of their studies, students will have acquired basic education studies knowledge in the areas of: Child-raising, socialisation and education, teaching and learning, instruction, counselling, and innovation. In addition, they will learn to correctly apply scholarly work methods and, through internships, have the opportunity to gain practical experience. Students will learn to derive scholarly-based judgements, to formulate their opinions on the basis of specialised knowledge and be able to defend these opinions. They will also display competence in participating in transdisciplinary dialogue in the areas of child-raising, socialisation, and education.

The focus of Module 4 is on methodological and research-related aspects, such as participation in EASI-Day, including a structured written follow-up report, while Module 6 focusses on career-oriented experience gained through an internship, such as participation in PROF-Day, including a structured written follow-up report.
