Lighthouse Competition  NXTGN applies as Startup Factory

NXTGN Banner

In the future, startup factories will be the central contact points for innovations in Germany. As NXTGN, we are striving to become one of these startup factories.

"The NXTGN Startup Factory is a focal point of transfer at Heidelberg University and an important driving force for the start-up culture at German universities. Together with strong Baden-Württemberg partners from science and industry, we offer an international platform for technology-oriented spin-offs. In doing so, we are laying the foundations for the ‘Next Generation middle ground’. With our interdisciplinary platform, we develop promising research into products, support founders with tailor-made offers and thus create decisive impulses for sustainable competitiveness and social progress."

The Lighthouse Competition

German government supports Startup Factories
The German government is expanding EXIST funding to include the “Startup Factories Lighthouse Competition”. The aim is to establish supra-regional and internationally visible startup factories as beacons and thus increase the number and quality of knowledge-based spin-offs.

NXTGN from Baden-Württemberg has entered the next round of the competition and is one of the 15 winners of the first activation phase.
