Charles University Student Mini-Grants

Im Rahmen der Initiative „4EU+ student mini-grants“ fördert die Karls-Universität Prag dieses Jahr 11 Projekte mit dem Ziel, die Zusammenarbeit von Studierenden und Doktoranden über disziplinäre und institutionelle Grenzen hinweg innerhalb der 4EU+ Allianz zu stärken. Die Seed-Finanzierung soll Studierende und Doktoranden in der Entwicklung innovativer Projekte unterstützen und dazu anregen, gemeinsam an Lösungen für globale Herausforderungen zu arbeiten.

Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and Polish Choral Works

One of the most famous works in musical history featured at a concert of Collegium Musicum, which was realised within the 4EU+ European University Alliance. The choir and orchestra of Heidelberg University presented Ludwig van Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with Friedrich Schiller’s setting of the “Ode to Joy”. It was a joint performance with the Academic Choir of the University of Warsaw.

4EU+ Student Night

The range of courses and the many different opportunities for exchange between students and doctoral candidates in the 4EU+ European University Alliance is the topic of an upcoming information session for Bachelor and Master’s students and doctoral candidates from all subjects and disciplines at Heidelberg University. The event, organised by students at Ruperto Carola, will be streamed to the 4EU+ partner universities and take place in the context of the DAAD-initiated “European Universities Week” on 10 May 2023 at 6pm in lecture hall 4a in the New University.

Information session on SEED4EU+ and 4EU+ Visiting Professorships

The two calls published in March, SEED4EU+ and 4EU+ Visiting Professorships, will be the subject of a virtual information session on 26 April 2023 at 10:30 am. The briefing is addressed to researchers and, in particular, doctoral candidates from the seven 4EU+ partner universities. Specific questions on the respective funding programmes can be handed in before the event. Registration by 24 April 2023 is requested.

Online consultation on higher education didactics for teaching staff at 4EU+ universities

With the aim of providing continuous advice on current issues and concepts in higher education didactics, and also to promote interdisciplinary exchange between lecturers in this field, the Teaching and Learning Department at the heiSKILLS Competencies and Language Centre is offering a regular online consultation hour open to teaching staff from all 4EU+ universities.

Conference on Academia and the Far Right

The rise of far-right ideologies and its impact on academia is the topic of a conference hosted at Heidelberg University on 3 and 4 September 2022. Organised by the Heidelberg Graduate School for the Humanities and Social Sciences, in collaboration with the 4EU+ Alliance, it is geared specifically towards researchers, doctoral candidates, and master’s students from all 4EU+ universities. The conference will be livestreamed starting at 10am on 3 September.

International Summer School on European Business Law

A summer school for bachelor and master’s students from the 4EU+ partner universities is being organised by academics from the universities of Heidelberg, Milan, Warsaw and Prague. Its topic is current developments in European business law and it will take place from 16 to 18 June 2021 at the University of Milan. The summer school is part of the project within the 4EU+ Alliance called “From Diversities to Unity through Coordination”.

Online Conference on Synergies in the European Educational Area

On 19 May 2021 an online conference organised by the 4EU+ Alliance will take place with the aim of discussing general framework conditions for study and teaching in European University Alliances and defining current challenges for implementing joint strategies. Besides members of European University networks, the invitation goes to representatives of the European Commission, ministries and university policy-making institutions. The closing date for applying to attend the event is 14 May 2021.

Online Lectures in Bioscience

In the 2021 summer semester Master’s students from 4EU+ member universities can participate in selected online lectures at the Faculty of Biosciences of Heidelberg University. The lectures will take place weekly throughout the semester (12 April to 24 July 2021) or as block courses over a period of one and a half months. The registration deadline is 2 April 2021.
