Excursions programmeHAMBURG

Friday till Sunday, 22 - 24 November

The trip to the two famous Hanseatic ports of Hamburg and Bremen is undoubtedly a highlight of our programme.

This three-day trip gives you the opportunity to discover a completely different side of Germany. In Hamburg, you’ll enjoy a city tour by bus, a boat trip around the city’s harbour, as well as two additional guided tours.

You won’t miss a single one of Hamburg’s many attractions - the impressive town hall and stock exchange, St. Michael’s Church with the world-famous “Michel”, the Speicherstadt (the world’s largest historic complex of warehouses which has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2015), and of course, the legendary district of St. Pauli with its infamous piers. We’ll finish our stay in Hamburg with a trip to the traditional fish market.

Before we leave North Germany, we’ll stopover in the Hanseatic city of Bremen. After a tour of Germany’s oldest harbour city, home to the famous Bremer Stadtmusikanten and Rolandsstatue, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites, you’ll be able to spend the afternoon exploring the city. Take the opportunity to visit the medieval part of Bremen’s old town - “Schnoorviertel” - before we head back to Heidelberg.
