The Elite Sports Scholarship Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region supports athletes in their balancing act between studies and top-class sports. Top athletes find it particularly difficult to complete their studies due to the time and effort they spend on training and competitions. However, it is precisely they who are capable of top performance in academic professions due to their experience in sports.
Whether it's artistic cycling, chess, or soccer, our sports scholarship is open to applications from any active athlete who is studying or would like to study at the Universities of Heidelberg and Mannheim or at the Mannheim Business School.
The Elite Sports Scholarship helps the athletes to coordinate their daily routine and makes it easier for them through direct contact persons (dual career advisors), who can mediate between athletes and professors when seminar or exam dates collide with important training camps or competitions.
All scholarship holders receive a monthly stipend of 100 Euro. In addition, the sports scholarship holders can receive individualized tutorials.
