Entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial project management University Diploma

The “Entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial project management” University Diploma is designed for those with a master’s degree or higher and who want to be trained in project management. The programme is ideal for those aiming to work as intrapreneurs in large companies, join innovative start-ups, or contribute to the growth of associations and organizations focused on social economy and environmental transition.  

Schedule

The “Entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial project management” University Diploma has two main components. The first is a 80 hour entrepreneurship module, which introduces students to the basics of entrepreneurship and consistes of 6 hours of online teaching per week in English. This module covers topics such as identifying opportunities, fostering creativity, using design thinking, constructing viable business models, seeking funding, organizing commercial activities, and developing persuasive communication skills. 

The second component focuses on project management in environmental or social innovation. Multidisciplinary teams work on a topic provided by one of the partner organizations of the 4EU+ universities, and they spend 7 months designing, testing, and presenting an innovative solution to the given challenge. This practical experience helps students develop skills in leading innovative projects, management, teamwork, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Organization of the diploma

The programme lasts one academic year and is structured as follows: 

  • 19-21 November: 3 days of in-person opening conference at one of the 4EU+ universities (for the year 2025/26, this will be held at the University of Geneva);
  • December - March: Masterclass on the Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship (online course in English, 6 hours a week on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings);
  • December - June: Technical workshops on the basics of intrapreneurial project management and remote project management; multicultural and multidisciplinary team on a challenge led by a partner of the 4EU+ Alliance;
  • End of June: Final in-person closing conference (2 days) at one of the universities.

Applications and contact

First, an application must be submitted to the local university. Following an initial evaluation of all applications submitted, a select group of applicants will be referred to the coordinators at Sorbonne University. The Sorbonne University will conduct 30-minute interviews with these individuals. Following this second evaluation of their suitability for engagement in the program, all eligible participants will receive a link to register. Following the completion of the registration process, all participants will be provided with the necessary information to participate in the kick-off event in Geneva. 
Participants will have to pay a tuition fee. The exact amount will be announced at a later point in time. in 2023-24, the fee was 500 €.

Incoming applications are required to contain the following components:

  • CV
  • Personal development project: “Why this program for me? (2 pages)”
  • Letter of recommendation (manager, phd, association, etc…)
  • Proof of Master's degree certificate (untranslated accepted)
  • Recent Certificate of enrollment at Heidelberg University

Transportation and accommodation costs for the two in-person conferences will be covered by Heidelberg University up to a maximum of 500 €.

Important dates for application and registration  

  • Online application period: June 10th to July 10th
  • Interviews: Late June – early July 2025
  • Registration deadline: October 7th (midnight)
