Individual Funding
With the individual funding the university has created an equal opportunity backup in order to offer timely support in individual emergencies: For example, if the final financing for the last few months of a research project is missing or zou can't afford the flight for a presentation at an important conference abroad. In cases like these, university members can be given specific help upon request. This applies in particular to individual solutions that serve to support women in their academic qualifications.
In the last two years, the fund has been used, e.g. for financing the assistance for the implementation of a specialist conference, paying for a methods course that was essential for the continuation of a doctoral thesis.
The budget of the contingency fund is €20,000 per year.
