PhD Start-Up Scholarship in Mongolian Studies [CLOSED]

Heidelberg University invites applications for a PhD Start-Up Scholarship in Mongolian Studies in the European Research Council (ERC) Project “Entangled Parliamentarisms: Constitutional Practices in Russia, Ukraine, China and Mongolia, 1905–2005.” The scholarship holder will work on a topic connected to the history of parliamentary institutions in Mongolia. The duration of the scholarship is up to nine months.

The prospective candidate has to hold an MA (or equivalent) degree in history, philology, or a related field and have excellent knowledge of Mongolian and Russian. Basic knowledge of Chinese is an advantage. Research itself can be conducted in English or German. Priority will be given to scholars at risk.

- a cover letter;
- a CV;
- a certificate of an MA (or equivalent) degree;
- a transcript of records;
- a short essay (around 750–1000 words without references) outlining your research interests in relation to the ERC Project.

Visiting Postdoctoral Fellowship in Ukrainian Studies [CLOSED]

Heidelberg University invites applications for a Visiting Postdoctoral Fellowship in Ukrainian Studies in the European Research Council (ERC) Project “Entangled Parliamentarisms: Constitutional Practices in Russia, Ukraine, China and Mongolia, 1905–2005.” The fellow will work on a topic connected to the history of parliamentary institutions in Ukraine. The duration of the fellowship is up to six months.

The prospective candidate has to hold a PhD (or equivalent) degree in history, political science, international relations, or a related field and have excellent knowledge of Ukrainian. Research itself can be conducted in English or German. Priority will be given to Ukrainian scholars at risk.

- a cover letter with a brief outline of the proposed topic;
- a CV;
