  • 2000-2007 Studies in Semitic and Romance Studies in Heidelberg unversity
  • 2003-2004 Erasmus in Universidad de Cádiz (Andalusia)
  • 2007 Magister Artium in Semitic Studies
  • 2008-2011 Field research in Hasankeyf (Eastern Turkey) (3-6 months each)
  • 2001-2013 Work as student research assistent in „Dictionnaire Onomasiologique de l’ancien gascon“ and Semitic Sound Archive (since 2006).
  • since 2013 research assistant in the department of Semitic Studies in Heidelberg university
  • 2017 PhD in Semitic Studies („Der arabische Dialekt von Hasankeyf am Tigris“)

  • Introductions into Arabic dialectology with practical exercises as well as introductions into selected dialectal areas of Arabic.
  • Language courses in Modern Standard Arabic and Classical Ethiopic
  • Lecture classes in Modern Standard and Middle Arabic (newspapers, Arabian nights, medieval kitchen literature, bible in Arabic) as well as Classical Ethiopic (Bible, Henoch, Kəbrä nägäśt, chronicle of the Galla etc.)
  • Programming in Python (with special reference to linguistic tasks)
