Curriculum Vitae

Katharina Müller studied Political Science as well as German Language and Literature at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (B.A.). During her bachelor's studies, she worked for nearly two years as a parliamentary assistant in the German Bundestag.

She subsequently continued her studies in Political Science with a focus on parliamentary issues, civil society, and public law – initially at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, then at the Institut d'Études Politiques in Rennes (France), and at Heidelberg University. In her master’s thesis, Katharina Müller examined the diffusion of greenhouse gas reduction targets within the Canadian multi-level system, with a particular focus on interactions between the federal and provincial levels.

Since February 2025, Katharina Müller has been employed as a research associate at the chair of Prof. Dr. Jale Tosun. In this regard, she is involved in the EU Horizon project RECODE-MLG (“Re-Thinking Co-Creation of Digital and Environmental Policy in Systems of Multilevel Governance”), which addresses new governance approaches for a just twin transition within Europe.
