How to find us

The Curt Engelhorn Chair in American History is part of the Department of History. Our building is located in the center of the Old Town on the corner of Grabengasse and Seminarstraße, next to the University Library.

Lageplan Historisches Seminar

By Public Transportation (from Heidelberg Main Station)

Take Bus 32 from the bus stop north of the main station towards Altstadt/Uniplatz. Get off the bus at Universiätsplatz. Follow the street for about 100m to the next crossing. You will find the Department of History (Historisches Seminar) to your left. 

By Car (from A5 Karlsruhe-Frankfurt)

Leave A5 at exit "Kreuz Heidelberg" and follow A659 towards Heidelberg. Take exit "Schloss/Zentrum" and proceed in this direction for 3 km. Turn left for underground parking P11.

Two handicap accessible parking spaces are located in front of the department's main entrance.
