Advisory Services for International Students Orientation Days for new international students
Every semester the International Relations Office holds an orientation programme especially for incoming international students. The orientation is designed to acquaint you with the university and help you settle into life in Heidelberg.
You will receive general information on studying at Heidelberg University as well as its various facilities (institutes, libraries, cafeterias, etc.). You will also receive important information about the formalities connected with your stay in Heidelberg (reporting your residence, residence permit etc.).
Next to the core presentations, the orientation session includes city and campus tours as well as individual counselling in small groups by tutors (Heidelberg University students). Of course there will also be plenty of opportunity to meet fellow students.
You will also receive a folder containing all the key information on university counselling and support services as well as the range of leisure and cultural opportunities that the university and the city of Heidelberg have to offer.
Orientation Days Winter Semester 2024/25
The Orientation Days will take place from 7th of October until the 11th of October 2024.
