Heidelberg University achieved top-level status in Germany’s Excellence Initiative competition again in 2019. Your support to Heidelberg University Association and Heidelberg Alumni U.S. (HAUS) will help Heidelberg University to hold its standing among national and international academic institutions and to achieve its mission to not only add to the body of knowledge and to convey that knowledge to future generations, but also to share that knowledge with society at large.
Heidelberg University Association, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation and has been recognized by the IRS as an organization described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Your donation is fully tax-deductible to the extent of the law.
Heidelberg University General Endowment Fund
Public funding is not enough for remain competitive. The General Endowment Fund provides Heidelberg University with stability and flexibility to ensure high-quality research and teaching. Gifts to the General Endowment Fund to continue the longest tradition of excellence in Germany.
HAUS (Heidelberg Alumni U.S.)
Contributions to the Heidelberg Alumni U.S. (HAUS) General Activities Fund make alumni programming possible. From regional to national events to opportunities for career and professional development, this fund ensures a robust slate of activities for HAUS members.
HAUS Scholarship Fund
Ever since the founding of HAUS, alumni had suggested a scholarship fund to make studying at Heidelberg University possible for U.S. students. The HAUS Scholarship Fund was created and the first HAUS Scholarship awarded in 2012. HUA relies on the continued generosity of Heidelberg alumni to sustain the HAUS Scholarship Fund.
Amirana Scholarship Fund
The Amirana Scholarship Fund was established in 2016 thanks to the initiative and generosity of two U.S. alumni, Dr. Mahomed T. Amirana und Dr. Annelene J. Amirana. This fund provides financial aid to medical and dental students from low- to middle-income countries. To date more than 25 medical and dental students have received a financial support.
