Preconference Workshops

We are pleased to announce a call for workshop proposals as part of the preconference activities for the EARLI SIG 16 Conference in Heidelberg. 

The workshops will take place on September 10th (full day) and 11th (morning session).

Workshops are a vital component of our conference, offering an interactive platform for in-depth exploration and discussion of topics related to SRL and metacognition. 

We invite proposals for workshops that address topics such as the following, which may be of interest to members of the SIG 16 community:

• Multi-method Assessment techniques for measuring SRL and metacognition
• Learning analytics and SRL
• Professional Development in promoting SRL and metacognition in class
• (Methodological) approaches to examine SRL and metacognition in class-based samples
• Scientific Writing / Grant Writing for JURE Members / early-career researchers
• Fireside Chat with JURE Members / early-career researchers about career-paths in academia 

These topics are just examples; further topics are highly encouraged and welcomed.

Submission Guidelines:

Proposals should include the following information:

• Workshop Title
• Workshop Facilitator(s) – Include brief bios
• Workshop Objectives and Description (max. 300 words)
• Target Audience
• Proposed Duration (typically half-day or full-day)
• Number of Spots for Participants (the maximum is limited to 25)
• Requirements for Participants (e.g., materials to bring, prior knowledge)
• Workshop Format (e.g., presentation, interactive activities, group discussions)
• Any Special Requirements (e.g., AV equipment, room setup)

• Submission Deadline: 31.05.2024.
• Submissions will undergo peer review. 
• Acceptance notifications will be sent out by 15.06.2024.
