Spectacularly situated on a high mountain cone at the foot of the Swabian Alb, you have a magnificent view over the low mountain range from here. The Hohenzollern imperial crown and other treasures of the dynasty are on display in the treasure chamber.

FREIBURG IM BREISGAU AND BLACK FOREST

German trip: Saturday, July 20

English trip: Saturday, July 27

The last day trip of this semester takes us to the Black Forest and its capital - Freiburg im Breisgau.

The city tour through the beautiful old town and its charming alleyways takes us past the city's most important sights. The end of our tour is the “Münsterplatz” with Freiburg Minster, which can compete with France's most beautiful cathedrals. A visit to the cathedral market marks the start of our lunch break and is a culinary highlight of the region.

After a drive through the Black Forest along parts of the Black Forest High Road, we visit the "Vogtsbauernhof" in Gutach, an open-air museum with original Black Forest houses. Here you will learn a lot about the hard everyday life in the Black Forest, which people here had to experience until far into the 20th century. You can round off your excursion with a slice of Black Forest cake in the adjoining café.
