Unremunerated work

Consent is required for unpaid work at the university, which can be requested in Department 1 with the prior consent of the respective institution management.

Such an activity can, for example, serve to complete laboratory work that has been started after completing the doctorate. It does not establish an employment or training relationship. There is no work obligation and no compensation is paid. Consent to carry out this activity establishes family status at the university; statutory accident insurance coverage also exists in the rooms used for the activity (note: commuting accidents are not insured, therefore additional private accident insurance is always recommended).

Please note the legal framework conditions on the back of the application form and confirm your agreement with them by ticking the box on the front.

Note, please note: This procedure is not necessary for activities of senior professors, honorary professors, visiting professors, lecturers, research assistants, scholarship holders, if a scholarship is granted by the university or one of its institutions, enrolled students, enrolled Doctoral students or enrolled doctoral students, people from institutions with which there is a cooperation agreement regulating the exchange of scientists. This group of people already has corporate status as members of the university or consent to the activity is already deemed to have been given by concluding a cooperation agreement with the sending partner institution.

Please send the original form "Application for consent to carry out an unpaid activity" completed and signed by the institution's management to: University Administration, Law and Committees Department, Seminarstraße 2, 69117 Heidelberg.
