The newsletter “Caroline“ regularly informs about new developments and services offered by the university administration.
Warm greetings to you all – I am delighted to send you the summer edition of the Caroline newsletter!
The orientation phase of the Campus Management Project is running smoothly and successfully. On the leadership level a change will take place: Dr. Verena Schultz-Coulon (Head of Student Affairs and Teaching) will pick up the baton from Barbara Unger, who will leave Heidelberg University to her home country, and lead the project from now on.
The German Council of Science and Humanities will announce the results of the Excellence Strategy on 19 July 2019. We trust that we will be able to celebrate the result at our Summer Party. Until then we will keep our fingers crossed…
With respect to the current heatwave, I would like to inform you of two measures that will hopefully improve your working conditions somewhat: supply of mineral water and central procurement of ventilators (further information in the following pages).
Finally, I would like to motivate you to take part in the elections for the Personnel Board on 2 and 3 July. Both the Central Personnel Board, the local Personnel Board and the Youth- and Trainee Board will be up for election. Your participation is important so that the successful cooperation between the university and the boards can rely on a broad base. In this way we will secure that we can continue to trustfully und successfully create positive general conditions for our work environment in the future.
With best wishes,
Dr Holger Schroeter
