The Faculty of Life Sciences of the University of Heidelberg is offering a new B. Sc. course in Molecular Cell Biology as of the winter semester 2004/05. This research-oriented, six-semester course leading to a Bachelor of Science degree is an opportunity for students to obtain their professional qualifications at a location highly renowned for research on molecular cell biology and at one of Germany's most modern universities. The course enables students to place individual study emphasis at a very early stage on molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, biophysics, molecular botany, animal physiology, neurobiology, developmental biology or molecular evolution research. Teaching and research are enhanced by additional link-ups with biotechnology and bioinformatics, parasitology and various other branches of medical research.
