She WINS (Women in Sciences)

 

She WINS is an initiative with an individual counselling service for schoolgirls and women students of the sciences (01/2008: 31.5 % on average, Faculty of Physics and Astronomy 19%), focusing on studies and career planning and achieving professional objectives. By this offer the university aims to attract more women to science. Furthermore, the programme helps women students to prepare the transition to professional life. In cooperation with the Career Service, the Equal Opportunities Office implements the programme by organising various continuing-education events providing support at specific stages in students’ careers, especially at the transition from school to university and from university to professional life.
Kid’s University emphasises events especially designed for schoolgirls, which offer follow-up tutorials to lectures in natural sciences.
