The Physics and Astronomy Girls' Club "Wolke 7" is an offer for 7th grade girls from in and around Heidelberg. If you are interested in physics and astronomy and want to experience physics live with many experiments that go way beyond school lessons, this is the right place for you!

We meet once a week in the afternoon (usually in the buildings of the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy at Heidelberg University). The club takes place in cooperation with the Collaborative Research Centre CRC257 and the SFB 1225 of the University of Heidelberg and the Hölderlin-Gymnasium of the city of Heidelberg.

You can explore heat and cold, light and colours, magnetism, electricity, the stars and the universe, but also the smallest building blocks of our world with us and learn about the physical connections behind them through exciting experiments.

Special highlights include an astronomical observation evening at the State Observatory and laboratory visits to the various physics institutes at Heidelberg University. You will learn about current physics research and meet scientists who will tell you about their enthusiasm for the subject.

We would like to stay in contact with you even after the end of the course. If you want, we will be happy to accompany and support you until your Abitur with all your questions about physics, whether about everyday phenomena, teaching or exam topics, choosing a course of study, or anything else you can think of! We are also planning further excursions and meetings with you in the following years.

And the most important thing at the end: These supplementary lessons for schoolgirls are free of charge. All you have to do is register, but please keep in mind that places are limited.
