Weekly Monday Conference

 

For about 90 years, the Institute for Translation and Interpreting has welcomed a wide audience to its weekly Monday Conference. The conference offers students the opportunity to attend talks on current social topics, which are given by both German and international experts. As part of the university's Studium Generale, the aim of the conference is to broaden the students' general knowledge and to create a realistic work environment for the students of the M.A. in Conference Interpreting, in order for them to practice their skills. The conference takes place at the institute's Conference Hall II. It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology (simultaneous interpreting system, specialised conference interpreting table, video equipment, projector, live streaming, etc.) and it provides room for up to 60 People.
