The Top Female Founders Summers School centers around the topic of healthcare and female entrepreneurship. The programme strives to improve the skills of female University students or postdocs with a background in engineering, medicine, business or life science and help them to excel in the field of healthcare. The summer school takes place online and in Vienna from June 12 to July 14 2023 and features important insights from accomplished female founders and addresses the unique obstacles encountered by female entrepreneurs.

The program also strives to empower women to find solutions to the challenges faced by female founders. It was designed with important insights from accomplished female founders and addresses the unique obstacles encountered by women entrepreneurs. 

The program features – amongst others – courses that strengthen the ability to confidently identify and create cutting-edge healthcare solutions, courses on business economics and  effective strategies for starting your own business and courses that convey essential communication skills. 

The program is split into two parts: During the online part, from June 12 to July 3 2023, the participants will form teams and come up with their ideas. This   E-Learning phase includes live sessions on healthcare challenges, entrepreneurship, Design Thinking, project management and more. Those who complete over 80% of the e-learning activities will be invited to attend the onsite training in Vienna.  

From July 10 to July 14, 2023, the onsite phase in Vienna features leadership skills development sessions, meetings with successful women in leadership, mentoring sessions and more. At the end of t he program each team will present their ideas and new solutions.

Participants will receive up to 500 € for travel and accommodation costs for t he onsite training in Vienna. 

The deadline for the application is June 6, 2023. 

 

The programme is organised by Boehringer Ingelheim RCV and takes place in koooeration with EIT Health, Heidelberg University, the University of Coimbra, IESE Business School, Riga Stradins University, INiTS and the BDO Healthcare Consultancy.
