The protection and exploitation of intellectual property (IP) are essential building blocks for securing research results in the long term and successfully bringing them to market through technology transfer.
The patent exploitation agency ScienceValue Heidelberg GmbH (SVH) – a subsidiary of Heidelberg University – is the exclusive service provider for technology transfer and the central point of contact for all matters relating to intellectual property protection, invention and patent management, IP commercialization, and technology marketing. SVH accompanies the entire process – from reviewing IP protection measures and patenting to developing tailor-made exploitation strategies and concluding license agreements with companies.
As part of its spin-off support, hei_INNOVATION raises awareness of the importance of intellectual property and facilitates contact with the SVH. This ensures that the intellectual property of Heidelberg University is protected in the best possible way and can be made available to society in the form of applications or products.
