By Airplane
Heidelberg is located in southwestern Germany, in the northern part of Baden-Württemberg. Germany's largest airport, Frankfurt Airport, is approximately 80 km away. Other international airports within a radius of up to 150 km include Stuttgart Airport and Frankfurt Hahn Airport.

By Train
Heidelberg is connected to both the German and European long-distance rail networks. In addition to direct connections, some connections to Heidelberg require a change at the main station in the nearby city of Mannheim to an S-Bahn train (suburban train) or regional train (approx. 15- to 20-minute journey). Many other neighboring cities and towns are also connected to Heidelberg by S-Bahn trains and regional trains in the Rhine-Neckar Transport Association (VRN). Deutsche Bahn provides information on all train connections to and from Heidelberg - including its own IC/ICE and EC connections and connections from private, foreign, and regional providers.
