GERMAN CITIZENS STUDENTS CHANGING DEGREE PROGRAMMES TO SUBJECTS WITHOUT ADMISSION RESTRICTIONS IN HIGHER SEMESTERS

Applications for degree programmes without admission restrictions must also be submitted in due time via the heiCO portal of Heidelberg University.

Students who are changing degree programmes and are applying for admission to higher semesters, including in subjects with no admission restrictions, are required to provide certification of the recognition of credits from the appropriate examination office. If credits in a related subject have already been earned at a German university or at a university abroad, students may request recognition of the credits at the departmental examination office. 

Enrolment for courses without admission restrictions takes place online. The application for enrolment (i.e. the printout of the online registration) along with all required supporting documents must be uploaded to the heiCO portal by the enrolment deadline. Representation by proxy is not permitted.
