INTERNATIONAL STUDENTSRECOGNITION OF CREDITS GAINED OUTSIDE GERMANY
Credits gained at a university outside Germany can also be recognised for the purposes of undertaking a degree programme at Heidelberg University.
Candidates looking to ensure that such credits are recognised at Heidelberg, must submit an application. Generally, the academic advisors in the relevant subject area at Heidelberg University are responsible for confirming that credits can be recognised.
For medicine, pharmacy and dentistry, as well as psychology and law, there are specific bodies (rather than academic advisors) which are responsible for confirming the equivalence of any credits previously gained. This also applies to the recognition of credits previously gained in a teaching degree completed outside Germany. Candidates should submit an application for recognition of credits to the following bodies:
