The application deadlines constitute a statutory cut-off period. The Application for Change of University is to be completed online via the heiCO-portal of Heidelberg University. Please note that transferring to a new university in an academic subject that follows the “academic year model” is only possible in in the “uneven” semesters in the winter semester (3rd, 5th, ...) and in the “even” semesters in the summer semester (2nd, 4th, ...).
It is strongly recommended that applicants who would like to change their university contact the respective academic advisory service at Heidelberg University regarding the curriculum, required course assessments and offered courses prior to submitting an application.
Students changing universities within Germany may only be granted admission to the next higher academic semester.
