EU/EEA CITIZENS AND INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS WITH A GERMAN UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONENROLMENT IN THE FIRST SEMESTER

BACHELOR, STATE EXAMINATION AND MAGISTER THEOLOGIAE

Depending on the application and admission procedure for your desired degree programme, you are required to submit an application to Heidelberg University prior to the application deadline.

International students who have been admitted to study at Heidelberg University must enrol in person in the International Relations Office by the deadline specified in their letter of admission.
Original versions of all documents required for admission (school and university certificates) must be presented. If the letter of admission requires successful participation in an examination procedure, the respective examination (e.g. German language test for the admission to universities - DSH) must be passed with the specified score. If the examination is not passed, or if the minimum required score is not achieved, and you have not been granted an official exemption, you will not be permitted to enrol in the degree programme specified in the letter of admission.
Because the information pertaining to EU/EEA citizens and international applicants with a German university entrance qualification (so-called “"Bildungsinländer”) can vary slightly, we have provided the information here in two separate sections.
