The course of studies of Jewish religious education, teaching degree, can also be chosen as a supplementary subject if the corresponding prerequisites are met. The supplementary subject with 120 credit points aims at the teaching degree for secondary levels I and II, while the supplementary subject with 90 credit points leads to a teaching degree for secondary level I. The course of studies introduces students to the areas of Jewish religion, history and culture from antiquity to present-day streams and living worlds, at the same time enabling them to expand on specialised issues with didactic and pedagogical skills in independent modules.

Course Content

The M.Ed. Jewish religious education, teaching degree as a supplementary subject (120 and 90 CP) covers the subject in terms of content and didactic-pedagogical aspects. The foundations of the subject are initially laid in introductory, advanced, and specialised modules for this. Specialisation in the subject is made possible with a theory and methodology and a specialised didactic module each, as well as in a blended module in which subject-related didactic and subject-related scientific questions are interlinked.
